Clive Cohen's Drive and Ambition
From Jamaica West Indies to Long Island New York, Clive Cohen is a business and family man.
The Cohen family has been in the car repair business for over 3 decades. Entrepreneur and family man Clive Cohen came to America with nothing but ambition and a love for the intricacies of car repair. In Jamaica, opportunities were scarce so he made a decision to pursue his dreams abroad and over 30 years later he developed a successful auto collision repairs. Mr. Cohen has a great reputation in his community and provides affordable services for his local area but the 5 boroughs and tri-state region. As a young foreigner eager to work and learn, he honed his skills at Farmingdale Auto Collision where the staff embraced his drive and quickly promoted him to shop manager. Clive flourished at Farmingdale and learned many different aspects of the business. Clive also furthered his education in the skill of painting when he received accreditation and certificates from the likes of spies Hecker and Sikkens.
After many years of service to the family who owned Farmingdale Auto Collision, Clive took a leap of faith and started his own auto collision business in the year 2000. 20 years later, Clive is still providing high-quality car repair services via his family-owned auto collision business with his youngest son Kemar Cohen. They employ experienced independent contractors to help with the workload. Together, they provide a laid-back island-like calm and confidence to restore your vehicle back to new condition. The Cohen family is a small 10-car minority-owned family business. They have been a go-to in the community for emergency repairs, end-of-lease repairs, insurance claims, restorations, tire sales, rim repairs, detailing and more. Clive and Kemar appreciate the support as the business survives by word of mouth.
Kemar attended St John’s University in Queens where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in the discipline of marketing. Kemar grew up in the body shop and learned everything from his father. Kemar especially enjoys promoting the lesser-known services they provide as well as educating clients on proper car care procedures and best practices for longevity. Clive brings the wisdom and expertise and Kemar brings the marketing quality control and customer service required to keep clients happy and retention high.
The Cohen’s Auto Collision family also provides work to independent contractors with formal or informal collision repair skills. Students aspiring to work in the car industry and detailing services are also welcome to apply. Clive and Kemar will also provide concierge services such as visiting your home or vehicle location for assessing damages and select drop-off and pick-up services for loyal and premium customers, disabled and elderly. We are located in a well-known area that joins Baldwin, Roosevelt and Uniondale. Our location is 651 Pine Street (off Uniondale Ave/Brookside. Take exit 21 off the southern state, right in front of the parkway entrance. We are open Monday – Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and Saturday from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.
